space ::

Maison Martin Margiella's exhibit ‘Mat, Satiné, Brillant’ in Milan is a creative instillation of a genuis view on space and architecture as the designer's name transcends into a lifestyle brand.

:: the display features prototypes of products (i.e. the boot mold- amazing), concepts and the typical style of the brand reminiscent of the headquarters, retail locations and over-all aesthetics.

this installation is just another way to express creativity, and unlike most designers Margiela still manages, after 20 years, to do this without being outlandish and in the public eye. amazing.
:: always under the radar, his site takes a similar approach: check it out here.

Quote from press release:

"Maison Martin Margiela introduces its concepts of interior architecture through an installation, ‘Mat, Satiné, Brilliant’, which recreates the environment and atmosphere of its interior design workshop using a variety of creative expressions of the Maison’s identity and philosophy."

:: note :: nervous that Margiela may be leaving/has already left the company. critics believe he's long gone.
