Ann D ::

belgian designer Ann Demeulemeester is anything but simple when it comes to her collections and history. Having graduated from Antwerp's Royal Academy of Fine Arts in the early 80's Ann D is part of the Antwerp Six (which most notably, in my eyes at least, includes Dries Van Noten, <3).

her retail locations however are ridiculously far from simple in their clean, yet complex design.

below :: Seoul, Korea location designed by Mass Studies.

strangely Ann D's site fails to examine the perplexity that is her Korean storefront, meant to bring nature into the entire building. Check out the images below courtesy of Dezeen.

it looks as if they had to travel pretty far to find the nature that was needed in this city-deep location.

below :: Hong Kong location.

below:: Tokyo location.
below:: Antwerp, Belgium location.

each location fits together like a puzzle, unique yet clearly adjoining.

i love the contrast of white walls, posts and curtains against the vintage look of the floors and misty grey's of her collection in her Antwerp shop.

neck ::

i'm often amazed by Etsy, but rarely do the sellers put together a great product and presentation.

Necklush's product line consists of scarves made of cotton loops that can be worn in multiple ways. multi-colored pieces are screen printed and special make-ups are available for special order. their photography is noteworthy on a site where sellers are so easily forgotten, and their product shines through.

there's even an instructional video...http://www.youtube.com/necklush , just in case you need some help.

Ye ::

Kanye West blogged about one of my favorite bloggers, Jane of Sea of Shoes

this girls style is ridiculous, and she's only 16. i cant imagine where she will be in say 5 years from now?

nice of someone like Kanye to notice (check out her blog, world wide press has taken notice of her style, why shouldn't he?)

black ::

Victor & Rolf available at Colette.

really moving past the basic black clutch guidelines, this clutch is smaller than i'd normally take a risk on, but i lovvve the detail. can't tell from the images, but i hope the handle can detach.

clutches aren't for everyone, but who doesn't love a cute belt?

silk roses and super small waist? count me in. available at Colette here.

speaking of sticking to a theme... these ultra feminine heels (which should never ever be worn with the clutch/belt, ever, in any combo...) are sky-high and ready to go out.

also available at Colette here.

gone ::

in no way am i surprised these are sold out everywhere... had i no bills I would have thrown my tax refund into these...

ah. covet.

Balmain crystal embellished studded sandals. finally available at net-a-porter, but waited too many minutes= sold out.

images via net-a-porter.

The next question is...to fake or not to fake? in reality the Mel by Jeffrey Campbell is so off- the only detail it stays somewhat true to are the metal studs and a sub-par version of the rhinestones.

available for $150.00 at Karmaloop.

vision ::

21 year old Delfina Delettrez debut her first collection in the fall of 2007. a mixture of life and death, her line emits a certain presence that as a fourth generation Fendi one would more than expect. her execution on vision and technique are flawless.

although her theme can be slightly disturbing, there is a certain whimsical fairy-tale story playing beneath the surface, reminiscent of grimm's fairytales. with more sparkle.

her line is available at Colette.

Karl Lagerfield, who joined Fendi in 1962, created the iconic inverted double F symbol and took the brand worldwide. close to the family, Delfina uses the crescent moon and stars symbol Karl created for her father as her own logo.

fyi. she has also collaborated with Alain Mikli on sunglasses, also available at Colette.
