the newest Louis Vuitton ad's, shot by Steven Meisel, showcase designer Marc Jacobs take on the woman's form for the fashion house's F/W 2010 collection. three models, three generations of super models, all in form flattering, or rather curve flattering, dresses that take on a 1950's feel.

the ads, meant to invoke a feeling of almost "catching" these glamorous models backstage, are shot in such a beautiful light. Christy Turlington has never looked better.

campaign ::

images from Mert Atlas and Marcus Piggot's campaign for Givenchy Fall 2010 have just been released, and the campaign has already had a whirl-wind of attention. the designer, Riccardo Tisci, chose to use his own personal assistant and fit model, brazilian transsexual Lea T. in the ads. the collection speaks in volumes through the androgynous collection and models.

via wwd :: "Tisci explained that including a transgender person exemplifies the masculine-feminine dichotomy that has become one of his design signatures and follows coed casting for his Paris runway last March."

georgia jagger, the 17 year old daughter of mick and jerry hall, is going to be around for awhile. voted model of the year in 2009 at the British Fashion Awards, the youngest jagger has yet to make her presence really known in the US, but trust me- it's coming.

dutch model lara stone is set to replace madonna as the face of louise vuitton. thank god, because those ads bored me to death (no offense, love mag, but she is not the ideal spokesmodel for anyone...i know they're friends and she brings in $$ but she can't realllly be marc jacobs ideal symbol of lv, right?).

:: lara, however, is perfect. the first ads come out in february- can't wait!

the Sex and the City 2 movie poster has been released...we've all heard about/seen shots of Carries flashbacks to the 80's...but wow. confusing since the dress she's in from Halston's S/S 2010 collection (SJP is supposedly going to be the future face of Halston as it continues on it's re-vamping- starting it's campaign around the same time as the sequel's opening.)

Chanel has released images of the ad campaign for the Coco Cocoon bag collection, shot by Karl himself.

the puffy, reversible collection is 10 steps away from the iconic Chanel bags, but I think that Karl really paired the bags well with Lily Allen and her style.

Lily Allen has made Karl Lagerfield's list of admirable talent, and the designer has announced the UK singer as the face of the next Chanel handbags campaign.

the deep greens and greys and the mist rising from the ground and through the shadows of the winter bitten trees create a subtle background for the garments on the foreground for this "peruvian" collection advert.

this campaign took more than a few steps away from his fashion houses typical animal print on scantilly clad Kate Moss model in the sun/studio norm.
