Christian's dream to be on broadway are, to make the story viable, what inspired the jazz shoe design of his bedazzled black men's shoes. choreographed by Arthur Gourounlian and music by Joe Stilgoe, Christian dreams his way onto the broadway lights in a pair of Khakis, a polo and suspenders.

watch it here, and make sure to view the behind the scenes footage as well.

fashionair is also giving away a pair of Christian Louboutin pumps. enter to win them here by April 9th.

pas de deux ::

Kate Moss is hard at work prepping her body, and her feet, for the short ballet film she will be in with Mikhail Baryshnikov. Mikhail is one of the most amazing ballet dancers- i am a huge fan (The Turning Point and White Knights are still two of my favorite favorite movies ever- not to mention his role as Carries man on SATC).

:: the film is rumored to be called Baryshnimoss- and will focus on the two as they are- she, not really a prima ballerina, and he a 60 year old dancer. choreographed and directed by Michael Clark, the film will show at a benefit and later art galleries. no release date as of yet, but filming will begin in July in Marseille. keep your eyes open.

time ::

legendary modern dance choreographer Merce Cummingham turns 90 tomorrow.

his newest piece, Nearly Ninety, will premiere tomorrow at the Brooklyn Academy of Music Howard Opera House, the same night as his company gala (if you're in nyc, tickets are still available by e-mailing tambra.dillon@gmail.com)

NY Magazine did a beautiful piece about Merce :: read it here.

not enough can be said about this man. beginning as a soloist for Martha Graham's company, Merce's own company was established in 1953 and he has since choreographed and produced over 200 pieces. his achievements have reached beyond what I'm sure even he imaged.
