Phoebe Philo.

having worked under Stella McCartney at Chloe in 97, Phoebe took the lead as creative director in 2001 when the designer started her own label.

::the fashion house went through serious changes over the years. as the first ever couture ready-to-wear fashion house (sensing a missing element in the market, creator Gaby Aghion coined the phrase pret-a-porter in the 1950s).

throughout the 60's/70's Karl Lagerfeld led the label and began attracting followers such as Jackie Kennedy and Brigitte Bardot and Grace Kelly.::

fast forward to 2001, Phoebe admittedly put the label back on the map, and in the eyes of stars, and in 2002 introduces a line of bags and small leather pieces::cue in the paddington, possibly the first it bag (absolutely one of my covetable items).

Phoebe left the house in 2006 citing needs to be with her family and soon was asked and then shortly after agreed to head up Celine in 2008.
